DELICIOUS RAW protein GREENS bars. Such a great treat that's good enough to eat for breakfast or whenever you are on the run.
The addition of spirulina to these gives a great hit of energy and you cannot taste it with everything else in here.
And well….they are covered in chocolate
For the bars:
1. 5 cup dates
1 cup raisins
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 cup smooth peanut butter,
1/2 cup pumpkin protein powder (or your fave good quality protein powder)
2 tsp spirulina powder,
a dash of water, enough to turn it into a sticky ball. Don't add too much water.
Now press into a tin foil or parchment lined bread tin and freeze
Meanwhile, melt 1/2 cup coconut oil over very gentle heat, mix in 2/3rd cup raw cacao and a little sweetener of choice. I use half stevia drops half agave or sometimes a bit of real maple syrup.
Take your bars from freezer, chop into 6-8 pieces and cover in chocolate.
We often leave these in the freezer and eat them FROZEN.
