Difference in Mindset

The ability to age with health and wellness is rarely a thing of chance. It takes dedication, commitment and consistency in all the things: nutrition, movement and mindset. It is a commitment to self, a promise to self, and one that we need to take seriously.

The difference in Mindset is that if it is a Goal, like “I want to lose 10 or 20 pounds” then fair enough, but is it sustainable? Often we don’t do the inner work to sustain our new found identity, this new system, and instead, when “life happens” ….. and it does happen to us all, the best intentions are taken over by old habits and the focus is lost.

When I train or coach clients we look at the longer vision, one that is based on how you want to live, move and Be for the next 30-40 years.

We all fall off the wagon, and sometimes our poor choices are from trying to escape life at the moment. I’ve been there, most of us have.

Our bodies are always there, I am amazed and in awe of what the human body can do. I try to respect it and appreciate it every day.

When I was in my 20’s I found weights, and learned the difference between being a cardio queen and adding strength training to the mix. I still Love to hike, bike and snow shoe. There is just something so special about being in nature; but strength training transforms us.

I began looking at how I wanted to age in a different way. We cannot look 20 or 30 forever, but we can sure reclaim our health and wellness and live a vibrant, authentic life. It’s one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself.

Reclaim your health, find balance and unlock that more powerful you. You will never regret it.
